Cornelia is the widow of Johan Peter Carl von Maltitz. The couple had an own natural son, who died in 1894, and an adopted son named Ludiwg Johan Frederich. When Willem Jacobus Booyens dies in 1913, Cornelia moves to South West Africa (Namibia) where she lives out the final years of her life on her son Ludwig's farm, Epako. She passes away in 1933 on that farm.
